Reliable Dryer Controls ensure that each batch is dried according to the correct program and process settings. Drying times, temperatures, cooling and batch handling all need to work together for a consistent and efficient drying process.

Senso Technics develops Controls for individual Dryers as well as installations with multiple Dryers. We combine modern PLC technology, Dryer software and SensoSuite with our knowledge of the laundry process to create a control solution tailored to the installation.

The Dryer Controls communicate with the surrounding Transport System to coordinate loading and unloading and ensure that each batch is sent to the correct destination. For installations with multiple Dryers, the control solution can be shared across the Dryer group, creating a scalable and cost-effective solution.

Control of the Drying Process

The right drying program for every batch

Different types of linen require different drying conditions. The Dryer Control manages the drying cycle according to the selected program, ensuring that each batch is processed with the appropriate temperatures and times.

Dryer programs can include settings for drying time, minimum drying time, cooling time, inlet and outlet temperatures and other process parameters. Depending on the Dryer and available technology, the end of the drying cycle can be determined by time, temperature or other process measurements.

Throughout the cycle, the Control monitors the relevant process values and machine status. Integrated with SensoSuite, operators can easily manage Dryer programs and follow the drying process from one central environment.

Communication & Integration

Connecting the Dryers with the surrounding process

Dryers operate as part of a continuous laundry flow. Reliable communication with the surrounding Transport System ensures that each batch is delivered to the correct Dryer and can continue to the right destination after drying.

Depending on the installation, the Dryer Controls can exchange batch information, Dryer programs, machine status and transfer signals with connected systems.

Senso Technics can integrate individual Dryers or complete Dryer groups with Shuttles, Belt Conveyors, Monorail Systems and other surrounding equipment, including machines from different manufacturers.

Together with SensoSuite, Dryer operation, batch tracking and transport information become part of one connected laundry process.

Retrofit of Existing Dryers

Modern Controls for proven Dryer technology

A Dryer can remain mechanically reliable for many years, while its control hardware, electronics or software become outdated and increasingly difficult to maintain. In these situations, a control retrofit can extend the useful lifetime of the existing Dryer.

Senso Technics assesses the existing installation and determines which components can remain in use and where modernisation is required. Depending on the Dryer, this can include replacing the PLC, control hardware, Dryer electronics and software while retaining suitable mechanical and electrical components.

For installations with multiple Dryers, the Controls can be modernised as one integrated solution. Combined with SensoSuite and communication with the surrounding Transport System, this creates a modern and supportable control environment without unnecessarily replacing equipment that is still in good condition.

SensoSuite & Multiple Dryer Control

One control environment for multiple Dryers

SensoSuite provides one central environment for operating and monitoring the Dryers. Operators can manage Dryer programs, follow active drying cycles, view machine status and alarms, and see the relevant batch information.

For installations with multiple Dryers, one control solution can be used across the complete Dryer group. This allows the Dryers to share the central control environment instead of requiring a separate complete solution for each individual machine.

The system can be expanded when additional Dryers are added, making the solution scalable for both existing installations and future growth.

Combined with communication to the surrounding Transport System, SensoSuite brings Dryer operation, batch tracking and transport together in one integrated process.
