The installation and commissioning of a soiled linen monorail system with next-generation sorting platforms has been successfully completed at a large industrial laundry in Canada.
The new 22-position sorting deck with integrated bypass forms the heart of the soiled side – designed for maximum efficiency, accuracy, and easy maintenance.

Next-generation sorting deck

The modular sorting platform can be configured in various setups, from 2 up to more than 20 positions.
Each position features:

  • Fast and reliable release

  • Precise 3-point weighing of linen

  • Easy maintenance with fully removable units

  • Simple and hygienic cleaning thanks to smooth, easily accessible surfaces

Thanks to its smart design, a complete unit can be exchanged within minutes – keeping downtime to an absolute minimum.
To make the sorting process even more flexible, the system includes several customer change-over options, such as:

  • Standard customer change-over based on weight

  • Merging of article types for optimal tunnel washer loading

  • Combining leftover batches to maximize capacity

  • Full empty-run cycle to prevent customer mix-ups

  • Bypass function for restart items

Bypass

Each position is automatically filled by weight, ideal for bulk linen handling.
All conveyors are frequency-controlled, allowing optimal speed settings and smooth operation.
Real-time weight data and target values are displayed on local monitors, giving operators full process visibility.

Soiled monorail system with recirculation

The installation includes a dual-trolley monorail system with container recirculation.
This setup allows the system to efficiently call and redistribute customers and linen types for maximum throughput.

Maintenance system: SensoHealth

The integrated RFID tracking system, part of SensoSuite, automatically monitors the usage and maintenance status of each container.
Every trolley is equipped with a unique RFID tag that is read inside the rail, ensuring a closed and reliable tracking environment.
When maintenance is due, the container is automatically discharged, and its complete service history becomes immediately available.

Smart feeding with cart dumpers

Integrated cart dumpers feed soiled linen automatically by unloading it directly from carts onto the conveyor belts.
This automated process increases efficiency, reduces manual lifting, and minimizes the need for physical labor.
