Precise control for a reliable pressing process

The Press is an important link between washing and further processing. Accurate control of pressure, pressing times and batch handling ensures that each type of linen is processed according to the required program.

Senso Technics develops new Press Controls and modernises existing control systems. We combine modern PLC technology and software with our knowledge of the laundry process to create a solution tailored to the Press and the surrounding equipment.

A Press Control can operate as a stand-alone system with a Touch Panel or be integrated with SensoSuite. Communication with the Tunnel Washer and downstream Transport System ensures that process signals and batch information are correctly exchanged throughout the laundry flow.

Control of the Pressing Process

The right pressure and pressing time for every batch

Different types of linen require different pressing settings. The Press Control manages the pressure levels and pressing times according to the selected program, ensuring that each batch is processed with the appropriate settings.

Depending on the Press and application, programs can be configured with different pressure stages and adjustable pressing times. This allows the pressing process to be adapted to different articles and process requirements.

The control system continuously monitors the pressing cycle and coordinates the release of the batch towards the next process step, creating a controlled and reliable transition from washing to further processing.

Communication & Integration

Connecting the Press with the surrounding process

A Press operates as part of a continuous laundry process. Reliable communication with the Tunnel Washer and downstream equipment is essential to coordinate batch transfers and keep the process moving efficiently.

The Press Control exchanges the required process signals and, where available, batch information with the connected systems. This ensures that the Press is ready to receive the next batch and that pressed linen is transferred to the next destination at the correct time.

Senso Technics can integrate the Press Control with existing and new equipment from different manufacturers, including Tunnel Washers, Shuttles and other Transport Systems.

When integrated with SensoSuite, batch information, machine status and process information become part of one connected laundry environment.

Retrofit of Existing Presses

Modern Controls while retaining a proven Press

A Press can remain mechanically reliable for many years, while its control hardware and software become outdated or increasingly difficult to maintain. In these situations, a control retrofit can extend the lifetime of the existing machine.

Senso Technics assesses the existing Press and determines which components can remain in use and where modernisation is required. Depending on the installation, this can include replacing the PLC, I/O, control hardware, Touch Panel and software while retaining suitable mechanical and electrical components.

The new Press Control can operate as a stand-alone solution or be integrated with SensoSuite and the surrounding laundry equipment. This gives an existing Press a modern and supportable control environment without unnecessarily replacing equipment that is still in good condition.
