Kannegiesser press retrofit solution

We recently retrofitted the control system of the Kannegiesser PP10 Press Turbo at Wasserij Zeelandia, bringing it fully up to date with today’s standards for safety, user experience, and system integration.

As part of this retrofit project, we installed a brand-new control cabinet fitted with modern switching components. A 10.1-inch touch panel was integrated into the cabinet door, offering intuitive and user-friendly operation. To allow for safe manual control when needed, we also provided a separate manual control unit.

The complete installation and testing were carried out on-site. The new control system was seamlessly connected to the existing tunnel washer and dryer controls, ensuring smooth integration within the broader laundry process.

To improve accuracy, a laser sensor was added to precisely monitor the position of the press piston. An additional photocell sensor was installed below the basket to detect whether laundry is present and to ensure the conveyor is clear.

Finally, we renewed the emergency stop and door safety systems, connecting them through a certified safety relay to ensure maximum operational security.

With this Kannegiesser press retrofit solution, the PP10 Press Turbo is once again fully equipped for safe, efficient, and reliable operation in a modern industrial laundry.
