This industrial laundry is among the largest in the Netherlands and processes enormous volumes of linen every day. The existing control system no longer met current requirements. It was outdated, and the previous supplier was no longer providing active support. For the laundry, this posed a risk to the continuity and reliability of production.
The project involved a complex installation with multiple types of machines. In total, six tunnel washers – two Lavatec, three Senking, and one Schuthess – and twenty Lavatec dryers had to be reintegrated into one control system. In addition, there was a major challenge: the complete conversion of the clean side had to be carried out within a single weekend to minimize production loss.
Senso Technics developed and implemented a unified solution: all machines were connected to SensoSuite, our advanced control and visualization system for industrial laundries. Thanks to the flexible architecture of SensoSuite, different machine brands and types could be seamlessly integrated. For the laundry, this meant that separate control systems were no longer necessary and that the entire installation could be operated from one central system.
The laundry now operates with one reliable and future-proof control system. Processes are clearly displayed on intuitive screens, giving operators immediate insight into the status and performance of all tunnels and dryers. Thanks to precise planning and intensive teamwork, the transition was completed smoothly and without significant downtime. On Monday morning, production could resume without interruption. The result: higher efficiency, reduced risk of failures, and a solid foundation for future growth.
