Senso Technics supplied a new Kannegiesser Supertrack control system for SDEZ Nord. The existing Soil side Monorail System was still mechanically in good condition. However, the outdated controls were ready for replacement.
Therefore, SDEZ Nord chose a targeted retrofit instead of replacing the complete Monorail System. Senso Technics modernized the controls while retaining the existing Kannegiesser Supertrack. As a result, the installation has a reliable foundation for the years ahead.
The Kannegiesser Supertrack handles the transport and buffering of linen on the Soil side of the laundry. From the Monorail System, the linen continues to the next stage of the washing process.
The mechanical installation still performed well. Therefore, we focused entirely on replacing the outdated controls. This way, SDEZ Nord could retain the existing Monorail System without investing in a completely new installation
Senso Technics developed and supplied a new Control Panel with modern control technology. The new control system integrates with the existing Kannegiesser Supertrack and provides reliable control of the linen flow.
The before-and-after pictures clearly show the transformation. The old Control Panel made way for a modern solution, while the existing mechanical installation remained in place.
As a resuslt, this retrofit extends the lifetime of the Kannegiesser Supertrack. At the same time, the new controls simplify future maintenance and provide a solid basis for further modernization.
For industrial laundries with older installations, a retrofit can offer an attractive alternative to complete replacement. Why replace an entire installation when the mechanical system still performs well?
The project at SDEZ Nord shows that modernization does not always require a completely new installation. Instead, we retain what still works and modernize what has become outdated.
As a result, SDEZ Nord now has a modern and reliable control system for its existing Soil side Monorail System.
