This industrial laundry is among the largest in the Netherlands, processing enormous volumes of linen every day. The existing control system no longer met current requirements. It had become outdated, and the original supplier was no longer able to provide up-to-date support. This posed a risk to both production continuity and operational reliability.

The Challenge

The project involved a complex installation with multiple machine types and brands. In total, six tunnel washers—two Lavatec, three Jensen Senking, and one Schuthess—along with twenty Lavatec dryers, had to be integrated into a single control system.

The main challenge was timing: the complete conversion of the clean-side operation had to be completed within one weekend, minimizing production downtime and ensuring the laundry could resume operations immediately.
